Why is this a worthy cause?

A picture is worth a thousand words. Everyone in the world has at least one cherished photo. Photography allows us to relive our lives and emotions through memories and images of loved ones we lost, that we never want to forget, learn of ancient peoples and histories, and remember important events such as births, family memories, weddings, graduations, awards, and milestones. We learn who we are, where we came from, and how much we look and act like our ancestors.

Who is this and why him?

Photographer Terry Blackburn has had an amazing lifetime career. Here are just a few examples. At the age of 18, he received his private pilot's license and shortly after that added his commercial license and instrument rating. In his middle 20s, he began his 45+year photography career and during that time period, he did many photography assignments including kids portraits, family portraits, weddings, and commercial photography all over the world for clients such as Disney Studios, ABC Records, Twentieth Century Fox, ExxonMobil, Political figures George HW Bush, Ronald Reagan, George W Bush, Margaret Thatcher, Bill Clinton, Texas Senator Phill Gramm(including his Presidential campaign), Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell, Sports celebrities like Warren Moon, Majic Johnson, Dan Moreno, Movie and TV stars like Charleton Heston, Oporah, Tim Allen, Michael Landon, and many more nationally known individuals.I feel ALL of my talents, and opportunities were given to me free by God who gets the credit for which I am so very thankful.

What are the funds for?

For over half a century, Terry Blackburn has been privileged to enrich and preserve lives through his work. Now due to 5 herniated discs in his back, the loss of his studio from the Pandemic, and ALL his income except Social Security due to his disability, you have an opportunity to help him get his life back. If this campaign is not successful I will continue to do whatever job I can do without my mobility, even if I have to live in my car and help anyone that I can. The minimally invasive surgical procedure he needs is not covered by his insurance, even after 20 years in existence, and it has a better than 70% success rate. The improvement in health will enable Terry to provide for his own needs and allow him to continue his work as the professional he is. All my efforts using current treatments and therapies have been exhausted. My pain is getting much worse, I am unable to travel in my car for longer than an hour, and I am limited in my ability in walking or carrying objects. My future outlook is exciting if I get the procedure soon. I long to again be able to follow the plan for my life God has begun. Whatever comes, I will accept His will. However, it seems a shame to have a solution but have to pass it up due to finances.
