Hello, my name is kyrstin Wessner, I’m making this go fund me for my parents. Mainly my dad. He had emergency surgery on Christmas Day. His colon exploded & he was rushed to Lehigh valley in Allentown, all while we should of been having our family Christmas dinner. He didn’t know he has severe diverticulitis and it perforated his bowel. He was in surgery for over 3 hours. He was in the hospital for over a week. Where my mother couldn’t be with him because of covid restrictions. He now has to wear a colostomy bag for 3-6 months. Meaning he had to quit his job and try for disability. (key word TRY) My mom is a waitress at red lion, so she lives off of her tips. My father needs someone with him 24/7 plus at home care nurse. My mom will be forced to leave his side to return to work as soon as red lion re opens. They were just closed down for almost 2 weeks. So they have zero income at the moment. They are both born & raised in this small town. They have contributed to this town as much as the next person. They both work hard and live paycheck to paycheck already. Now they are worried and unsure of what’s next for them. Will dad ever get to go back and work his regular job? We just don’t know. We all know waitresses don’t have a set income. This isn’t something they are comfortable with asking, so I’m asking if you can help, even 5$. Anything that will help them pay rent and get groceries and all of dads medical bills. This family has never asked for help. If you cannot donate just share for them please.
