Territorio Puloui: Weaving Hope in La Guajira

Donation protected
Hi, I’m Carmela Daza, director of the documentary Territorio Puloui - The Spirit of Water, which tells the story of the Wayuu people’s fight to protect water and life in La Guajira, Colombia. (Website Territorio Puloui film) This campaign is an urgent call for solidarity.

The protagonists of our film are five Wayuu women leaders who, in the face of a severe water crisis worsened by climate change and mining, continue to weave traditional mochilas as a form of resistance and survival. Selling these handmade bags is now their only way to afford clean water. But they often struggle to buy materials or pay for transportation to nearby towns where they can sell them.

Your donation will help them:
  • Buy drinking water for their families and communities
  • Purchase threads and materials to continue their craft
  • Cover transportation costs to reach markets in nearby towns

This is a grassroots response to a systemic problem, but it brings immediate relief and supports their resilience.

Through Territorio Puloui, these women opened their homes and stories to the world. Now, we have the chance to give something back. Your support is an act of recognition, justice, and reciprocity.

Thank you for donating and for sharing this campaign. Together, we can help weave a future with dignity!
