Hi everyone! My name is Michelle. I'm making this GoFundMe for medical expenses and bill expenses for my parents. We may also possibly have to travel to Washington as well. My mother, Terri, had a major heart attack Tuesday morning. She needed to be rushed by ambulance to Logan Health Medical Center. When we arrived, we were told she needed surgery to have two stents placed in her heart. Her heart attack was in her left ventricle, and she needed an external heart pump called an Impella. This device helps her heart move blood out and gives her heart time to heal. She also needed to have a ventilator placed due to fluid buildup in her lungs from her heart attack. We were told this would only be for a few days, and she should hopefully come off it. Unfortunately the doctors have tried several times to wean her off, but her heart just can’t handle it and might not. We may need to go to Washington to have an LVAD placed and then continue to apply for a new heart by getting her onto a transplant list if it comes to that. We are very much in the unknown at the moment. What we do know is she will be here for a while. This has caused my father and myself to miss work to try to balance being here to care for her and make medical decisions for her as she's unable to communicate what she wants. My father works for Weyerhaeuser in Evergreen. He's the most hardworking man I know. I pray and hope that after reading this, people might find it in their hearts to help my family out so they don’t end up losing everything in the process. A little about my mom: She's a mother of four and grandmother of 13 grandchildren who are her world. She does everything to make everyone in our family happy. She is the glue that holds us all together. She currently is raising 3 of her grandchildren. She is their everything! My mother has been raising those three children since they were practically babies. She was a single mom for 14 years to my siblings and me until she met my stepdad, Herman. She and my father are not the type to ask for help,they have always done the best they could with what they have. I know my father would move mountains for my mom and those kids, but everyone needs help sometimes.
