Terri’s First Book Release

Hi, It's Terri Schexnayder. What a journey I have been on to follow my lifelong passion--to be a writer! Ever since I first connected with Jo March, the writer heroine in Little Women. I wanted to be her. When about eleven, I created neighborhood mystery plays. I entered every writing school contest I found at the back of my teen magazines. I wrote ad copy, newsletters, press releases and speeches in my advertising days. Finally, in my forties, I established myself as a professional freelance writer; then, I received my English Literature degree when I was 52. If you have followed your passion for as long as I have, you understand how thrilled I am to release my first memoir, Selling Radio & Raising Katie in 1970s Austin. Set against a backdrop of the iconic, weird town we all love, I share snippets of going toe-to-toe with the "good ol' boys" in the advertising world and special memories with my daughter in our Travis Heights home.
