hi, i'm unimportant in this, so gonna get to the point.

my dear friend and brother/father/musician/veteran jazz and bluesman and so much more, local musician James Germana was involved in a serious car crash that was not his fault a couple days ago, and had to be put on a ventilator due to injuries sustained.

he's been in the icu at hartford hospital for a few days now, and is off the ventilator tho he still needs breathing support.

as a professional musician, he like many of us lives hand to mouth, and not only is this going to prevent him working for quite a while as he recovers, he doesn't have the insurance to cover all the crazy expenses he is faced with.

James is a good man, the kind of guy who will drop everything to help a friend when they truly need it, one of the finest guitar players the blues has known and a staple of the local new england music scene, always supporting every one else, coming to their gigs, playing everywhere.

his car is totalled. he is looking at months of recovery time, and no income for the percievable future, and possibly facing some surgeries to fix issues down the road.

monies raised will be used for prodigious medical bills, transportation, housing, food, rehab... i set the bar pretty low so i hope we can reach the goal, but truth is it could be far less than what he's gonna need. long road to recovery.

i know i ask a lot of the internet community, but if you can help my friend, many of us will be very grateful, none more than my brother Jimmy.
