Terran's Aquarium, World premiere Ecology show
Donation protected
Whorls of Wonder Puppet Theater is based is Portland, Oregon.
Our new show: Terran's Aquarium exposes the audience to the current global fresh water crisis. The main character, young Terran, goes through many magical transformations, dealing with no water in his home, and learns what to do about it! Designed for a family audience, the show received a 2011 Henson Foundation Family Grant to take the stage!
We have been working on the show for many years and are scheduled to make our World Premiere at the Fertile Ground Theater Festival, sponsored by the Portland Area Theater Alliance in early February 2020. We aspire to tour the show in this country and abroad.
The funds gathered from this campaign will be used to help pay rent for our venue, for Performer Liability insurance, Technical crew at Portland Metro Arts Center, the required Fire Marshal permit, upgraded LED lighting equipment and for necessary quality sound equipment we can use and keep for future use!
As our opening night performance is just a few months away, we are hoping to meet our goal quickly. The support will mean the world to us! We are excited to bring this show to the world as a wake up call to take action and not take our fresh water resource for granted. Please help us get this show on the road! Ultimately, we could all benefit from greater awareness of the fresh water situation in the world.
