Terra's EMT Certification
Donation protected
I want to get certified as an EMT so that I can assist our front line medical healthcare workers and use this time in isolation to learn new and applicable skills. I know that financial times are hard for so many of us creative and service industry members out of work, so I understand the burden of this ask. I believe the acquisition of these skills and this certification will be a benefit to my community in the coming times.
Classes are May 18th-August 20th. Three times a week with lectures online. The in person portions of the class take place 6 blocks away from my home so the risk of traveling to class is significantly reduced. After completion of the course I'll be taking the NYS EMT-Basic Certification exams.
A breakdown of expenses:
Pre-registration fee- $300
Course fee- $1050. Due first day of class. Includes all required equipment (blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, and CPR face mask)
Textbook: quoted between $50-$200. Once I know the title I bet I can find it on the cheap cheap.
NYS EMT-Basic Certification exam: $80
