Hi, I’m Chris, and I am an Animal Care Assistant in Dundee.

I’ve spent years working in the animal care sector in the UK from rescue work to veterinary work, but my journey began much earlier, back home in Sicily (Italy) where I rescued and rehomed stray animals in my community.


When the rescue centre I worked at in Dundee suddenly closed, it left a huge gap in the community. Animals that once had a safe place to go were suddenly lost. Owners who relied on our support had nowhere to turn. That loss cut deep and I couldn’t just walk away.

Animals and owners in our community still need help and guidance, and there simply aren’t enough places to turn.

Having seen first hand the heartbreaking conditions animals can be in even in our own city it is clear that something has to change. That is why I have made it my mission to open Terra Nova Rescue & Rehoming. A safe haven built on education, prevention, and the belief that every animal deserves a chance at a loving home.


It is about being real, practical, and showing up for those who can’t speak for themselves. But I can’t do this alone.

A community led rescue focused on education, prevention, and giving pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, small furries) a safe path into forever homes. No ego, no politics, just honest and practical welfare.

I have funded everything myself so far: merch, equipment, insurance, workshops, printing. And now I have reached the point where I need help to take the next step.

This fund will support:

* Foster Supplies - Food, beds, blankets everything an animal would need to feel safe.

* Vet Costs (a big one!)

* Workshop and Event costs

* Printing & Educational Materials

* Registering Terra Nova as a CIC (Community Interest Company)

* Building the first foster network (which has already started!)

* And eventually, Our big hope is to one day have a dedicated local site a physical base where we can care for these animals properly and offer a permanent solution for the community.

Every penny goes straight into Terra Nova, not into my pocket, not into extras, just the rescue.

The animals need us. The community needs us.
