Terpsichore Dance

Terpsichore (trp si kr ee) is a Philadelphia based dance company named after and inspired by the goddess of dance. The company strives to use the strengths of their dancers to create works that celebrate Mother Earth, past lives and femininity. Terpsichore is a contemporary fusion dance company that combines technique and energy from street styles to make dynamic fusion pieces.

Terpsichore Dance is excited to be accepted into our third year of Philadelphia Fringe Festival and are in need of help in order to make it happen. Philadelphia Fringe is an amazing opportunity for our company as it grows and attempts to build a bigger presence in the Philly performance art community. These funds will make it possible for us to present our new work "I Know Alone" which will be a fun, dynamic and colorful show about getting stuck in one's own thoughts. Art is transformative and emotional; for us as dancers being vulnerable in front a crowd, but also for the community to experience and connect with new art that is relatable and emotional. The opportunity to perform in Fringe is year is no small feat! We are so grateful to be in this position but we can't fully get there without asking for help.

Making a show happen involves many moving parts, and this fundraiser will make those things happen.

We are super excited to be creating and sharing this piece and appreciate any support you can give. Any amount helps as well as sharing this fundraiser! We appreciate any and all support tremendously, especially as an independent small dance company starting from the ground level. We've been working really hard to create this new piece, "I Know Alone" and we hope to share this with you this September in Philly's Fringe Festival.
