Since my breast cancer diagnosis on July 19, 2021, I've received such an amazing outpouring of love and heartfelt wishes. So many of my family and friends have asked what they can do to help, but I have been at a loss, since I know the toughest times are still ahead. A friend suggested setting up a GoFundMe campaign, and I thought this could be a way to get people involved that will be helpful to us when this battle inevitably gets much more challenging.

I know that chemotherapy, radiation treatment and surgery will all be very difficult for me and for my family in terms of time, energy and general wellbeing. I'm sure that we will need things like meals, housecleaning and laundry service to get us through some weeks and maybe months. We'll know more after additional tests and my consult with the oncology team.

If you feel like donating something now, we will use those funds for these types of care and maintenance tasks in the near future. We may also have medical expenses that are not covered by insurance. If you prefer to volunteer your time or talent or to look at other services you might be able to fund directly, I have set up a spreadsheet with anticipated needs here. I will continue to update the list as new needs become apparent.

I've also set up a page for supportive wishes here. Everyone's kind words have been a buoy for me. I appreciate these more than I can express.
