The news from Teria's daughters is as follows: Teria was the most alert she has been in 2 weeks after an emotional roller coaster of health events. Her girls are very glad they got to see a peak of their Mama today. Teria had an MRI and the results came in that the weakness she is experiencing is from a Stroke. She has a pretty noticeable left eye droop and she finds it hard to open her eye. She is going to be in the hospital for awhile and then will have to be in a rehabilitation facility to gain strength and mobility for 6+ months. So she is in for the long hall to recover from this medical event and surgery. Thank you to all that have shown Teria and her family the financial and emotional support through money donated and prayers offered up. Both are deeply appreciated. Please continue share Teria's story with folks, that they might see their way to contribute in some small way.
Update: 4/22/2025
Teria has been experiencing Vasospasms which are a narrowing or constricting of the blood vessels of the brain. This is a somewhat normal occurrence after having an Anurism rupture which did happen directly before they could repair and remove it. Therefore Teria has had two procedures where they go into the brain from an artery in the groin all the way to the brain to distribute medication. The vasospasms create stroke like sypmtoms and the medication should settle the vessels down so that recovery can get back on track. Our sweet lady has been through a lot and is requiring a lot of help which I am sure feels very different for the independent soul that she is. Please continue to put her up in prayer as she prepares for the milestone stages of recovery. Thank you for all your support!

Today a call out for all hands on deck to chain up in prayer for Teria by her dad. The first couple days after surgery went very well and now she is struggling with pain and symptoms that are causing difficulty. The longer for each milestone the longer her healing time will be. We hope to keep funding up to cover the rent on her cute little apartment so her eventual return home will be soothing and not worrisome. At this point Teria has about 3 more weeks at minimum in the hospital before her care can be re-evaluated for the rehabilitation stage. Work may be a long way off for our girl and as most of you know Teria is a single woman with limited resources. First and foremost, Teria is a daughter on an awesome God and we know she is in his hands so put her on your prayer chains and dial one up for her timely healing. Teria is not able to have visitors but cards are welcome. Please reach out to Dean, one of her girls or myself for the address to post a card of well wishes. We want her to know how much she is loved. Lastly, thank you for all that have contributed a gift of funds for Teria so far. She is a humble woman that will be so appreciative to know of your love and support.
Update: Teria's surgery ended up including a tramatic brain injury as the Aneurism burst before the surgeon got in to remove it. The repair was done but now instead of a 3 day stay she is being faced with a minimum of a 3 WEEK stay in the hospital, therefore her return to work is unknown. Surgery was moved up by a day but not soon enough as the Aneurism burst right before surgery started.
My name is Christine Elston and I am raising funds for my dear friend Teria Huaracha. Teria is having cranial brain surgery this coming Friday the 11th of April to remove an aneurism. Teria works at Ben Franklin, her commercial cleaning job and her own business of her various art work. Living alone as a single women her resources for income will be limited while she recovers from this radical surgery. I am hoping that her family, friends and clients might join me with an offering of funding that can cover her outgoing expenses during this medical proceedure and following recovery. In the event that you are not able to offer funds then please take this time to chain up and dial up a prayer for Teria and for her surgical team to guide their hands.
