As some of you may know, our mom, Teri, has not been doing well. For a few months she was experiencing some back pain but being the strong woman she is, just kept pushing through it. Eventually, the pain was too much and we had to take her to the emergency room last Monday, December 27th, to figure out what was going on. After multiple scans and tests, we got the devastating news that she has cancer. At that time her vitals were not stable and spent a few days in the ICU. She became a bit more stable and was able to move to a step down unit where she is now known as the most popular girl on the floor. Over the last 12 days, they ran more extensive tests to see exactly what we are dealing with. They diagnosed her with Stage 4 Melanoma that has metastasized throughout her body. Teri has done nothing but hold up two fists to the cancer, ready to fight it (or two middle fingers… we’ll let you chose). Teri, with the help of her family, and the oncologist, decided that while there may not be a cure, she wants to fight for the time to spend her life the way she damn well pleases. We appreciate all the love and support everyone has shown us, it truly means more than you know. This was a total shock to our family, she is the strongest one of us all. She was waking up every morning at 4:30 am working out at Orange Theory, then 10 hour work days, and then continuing to be the sunshine in so many lives while enduring this horrendous pain. She’s an absolutely incredible woman beyond words. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she fights this unimaginable battle.

Donations will be used for medical and funeral expenses.  Whatever is left over will be donated to a charity for melanoma.
