Teresa Pate, age 54, had a massive heart attack last Thursday. They don’t know why. She had surgery and had to have a trach put in, as well as a feeding tube. She has brain damage but is showing signs of maybe waking up, so she got accepted to be moved to either Ann Arbor or Taylor Hospital from Toledo Hospital. She’s been having seizures but has not had seizures long enough to be accepted into the program to be taken care of.

We need gas money and food money because they don’t allow us any help. She’s a grandmother with four grandchildren, Charlie, Mathew, Cecelia, and Romeo. Her biggest fear was to die before seeing all her grandchildren together again. Please help us in this journey to see if she wakes up and to see if she comes back to us. It’s gonna be a long journey ahead of us.

She has three children, Jesse, Anthony, and Crystal, who are taking care of her. But Jesse and Crystal are also taking care of their brother Anthony, who is mentally handicapped. Teresa was his caretaker until this happened, so we’re taking care of two people at this moment. They can’t take care of themselves. We’re asking for help just for food and gas for transportation; any help would be useful.
