Dearest friends, family, and kind strangers,

On Monday March 18th our beloved friend Teresa Lopez was struck by an SUV while cycling to work. As a result, she now faces a long and challenging road to recovery.

Teresa is a beacon of light in our community; a compassionate soul who has impacted the lives of many by effortlessly connecting with those around her. Teresa is a kind and exuberant spirit with an infectious laugh that fills the room, but it's her outlook on life and positive nature that inspires us all, it’s impossible not to participate in the joy she brings to the people around her.

The accident has left her with severe injuries; including broken ribs, internal trauma, and significant physical damage that will require multiple surgeries. Teresa faces a long and exhausting healing journey, she will require rehabilitation, and other supporting therapies to regain her health and emotional well-being.

In addition to the physical and emotional toll this has brought, it will also impact her financial stability. Teresa will require funding to cover medical expenses: including medications, specialized treatments and physical therapy.

During her rehabilitation, she won’t be able to work.
