Dwayne and Teresa Jones are dedicated teachers for Richland District 2 in Columbia, South Carolina. Dwayne teaches elementary physical education and was the beloved, successful softball coach at Spring Valley High School. Until recently, Teresa was a dedicated employee of Lake Carolina Elementary and a two-time Teacher of the Year award winner. Their daughter is in the 6th grade.
Over the past year, Teresa has been fighting a rare lung disease. After exhausting all efforts, they are left with one option: experimental stem cell treatment. In order to give Teresa a chance, the procedure needs to take place in the next month. We hope to raise $15,000 to cover the costs they will endure. Any contribution will make a difference.
