Hi, my name is Kathy Boone.  
I made this GoFundMe for my sister Teresa Fender.
First of all let me say that I know so many of you have seen a lot of GoFundMe requests, and I'm sure most of you have donated money. I have given to some as well,  as have many of my friends and family. The people I gave to were undeniably in great need of support, which leads me to believe that there are still unselfish loving and caring people in the world.
I set up this GoFundMe for my sister.
Her name is Teresa Fender.
She was diagnosed with Uterine Sarcoma. This was a complete shock to her and all of us who love her. Uterine sarcoma is a cancer of the muscle and supporting tissues of the uterus. This cancer is a
fast growing and rare cancer and it likes to come back. Teresa had surgery and is now undergoing chemo with radiation to follow. This has been so very hard on her, as I'm sure so many of you know.
She works in the healthcare field,  so her Doctor will not let her work,  for fear of being subject to many diseases because her immune system is very low.  She has already had to have a blood transfusion.
Teresa lives with my 82 year old mother and they are now living on my mother's Social Security check.
Teresa has worked since she was a teenager. Now in her 50's, she finds herself in a serious financial situation that I'm sure none of us wants to be in.
Teresa is not the kind of person to ask anyone
for help.  She has always been very independent and very self-sufficient.  I'm finding myself in a situation where I know she needs help but is to proud to ask for it.  She needs help with paying her monthly bills, and even though she has insurance she still has a lot of medical bills.
Yes, she has worked her whole life but now she can't. It's hard to see her go through this knowing she can't work and needs help, so I am asking for her.
I know a lot of you are saying that many people have cancer and many people need help and I understand
that, but everyone isn't my sister. Teresa is. She is sick and has no income of her own. This makes it very hard on her and my mother.
I am asking you for help for my sister.  
Anything at all that you can give is more than appreciated, and more than she has right now.
I realize that many of you can't give money,  so maybe
you could just say a prayer for her.
