Teresa Ringo's Cancer Treatment Fund

My name is Bri, and this is a fundraiser to help my mom. Recently she was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer, and the treatment she needs to get better is really expensive. She's got to go through radiation therapy, then chemotherapy and finally surgery to remove the cancerous tumor. The hospital has financial assistance, which will help pay for a lot of things, but it'll leave her with a lot left to pay out of pocket. At the very least it'll be $5000.

My mom is the sole provider of the family and the only one with any income. She's always worked hard to take care of the family. She's run herself ragged to make sure that we never go without, and even though my older siblings and I no longer live at home she still does her best to help take care of us when we need it, too. She's an incredibly strong person, but this is more than anything we've ever faced. We need help badly.

The money from this fundraiser will go towards paying for her out-of-pocket costs for treatment and bills while she's recovering. Because of the chemo and then the required surgery after she's going to miss a lot of work. I know she'll push herself more than she should to keep working so she can still pay bills. Unfortunately, the bills eat up her entire paycheck every month, and missing even a few days can be a huge problem. She won't give herself the time to recover. This is all I can think to do for her to help give her some peace of mind. That's the least she deserves.
