Teresa ~ mother, grandmother, & United States Air Force Vet

Dear friends,

I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart but also with hope and determination. My sister, Teresa, has always been a beacon of strength and service in our lives and in her community. However, recently she has faced a significant health challenge that has left her in need of support.

Just a few weeks ago, Teresa suffered a heart attack while working at her part-time job. Following that terrifying event, she underwent triple bypass surgery. Teresa has always been a fighter, but this battle has been particularly tough on her. As she navigates through her recovery, she is facing some post-operative complications, including difficulties with memory, speech, and cognition.

Teresa has dedicated her life to serving others, from her time in the United States Air Force to her nearly three decades of service with the Social Security Administration. She has touched countless lives with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support.

She is a mother of two and grandmother to seven. She retired from her Social Security job and headed south to be of support to her growing family in their time of need. After her late son graduated from the Marines basic training she observed a few young soldiers without their families. So, she called out to them and invited them to join our family. She creates a warm welcome package at her job where she rents out cabins. Teresa will ask the caller what their favorite beverage is and other get-to-know you questions. Then she creates treats; scones, biscuits, or specialty chocolate treats that just says, "hey, I was thinking of you, welcome home."

Now, as she focuses on healing and regaining her strength, I am asking for your help. Teresa is facing uncertainty about her medical bills and financial obligations during this challenging time. We want to ensure that she can focus on her recovery without the added stress of financial worries.

Together, we can provide Teresa with the peace of mind she needs to focus on her health and well-being. We have been informed by her medical team that it is not a matter of IF, but when she will have another heart attack. We hope and pray for more years with her.
