Help Us Bring Mom Home: Remembering Teresa Logan

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Meghan Logan, and I’m writing on behalf of my sisters, Hannah, Cassie, and Brittany.
Some of you may know us from childhood, others from places we’ve lived or worked, or maybe just by chance somewhere along the way.

But if you knew us, you probably knew our mom, Teresa Logan. She was the glue that held us together, the strength behind our voices, and the wit behind our jokes. We’ve been a party of five for as long as I can remember, and to know her was to love her.

On October 4th, 2025, we received the worst news of our lives. Our mom passed away; unexpectedly and unfairly. Her heart gave out while running errands, doing the same everyday things we’d done with her so many times before — grocery shopping, picking up things for the week, and one last stop to treat herself to lunch.

We think, if she were still here, she may find humor in her own passing, picking up her final meal from "Chopsticks 2 Chinese" for what I can only imagine was general tso's chicken and a few egg rolls.

Everything happened so fast that we’ve barely had a moment to process what’s real. She passed in Bremen, Georgia, while staying with her aunt to help care for her after surgery. Within 24 hours of speaking to the coroner, we were faced with decisions we never imagined making this young:

Which funeral home to choose, in a town we’ve never been.
What kind of service to hold, a conversation we never got to have.
Where to stay, in a place with only a handful of options and no familiarity.

The costs are overwhelming. A service and cremation alone will be close to $10,000. Flights, even with bereavement fares, are around $985 per person, not including lodging or the cost of bringing home her remaining belongings.

Our mom was everything to us. To say we are devastated doesn’t even come close. There are no words big enough to describe our grief or the emptiness left behind. Each of us keeps waiting for the phone to ring.. for her voice, for her text, for some small sign this was all a mistake.

Our world will never be the same.

Anything you can give to help, no matter the amount, means more than we can say. Thank you for reading, for caring, and for loving our mom.

Whether she made you laugh, gave you a ride home, shared a story, or just existed nearby, we know she’d be grateful to be remembered exactly as she was: loving, kind, and a mom to all.

Thank you,
Meghan (and the Logan girls)
