Hi! I’m Teresa and I am fundraising to go to World Youth Day 2023 in Lisbon, Portugal this August!

World Youth Day is the gathering of young Catholic people from all over the world with the Pope. It is also a pilgrimage, a celebration of youth, an expression of the universal Church and an intense moment of evangelization for the youth world. WYD opens its doors to everyone, no matter how close to or distant from the Church they are. I’ll start with at a national gathering of all Jesus Youth attending WYD at Delray Beach, FL. From there, I’ll fly to Fatima, Portugal for an international gathering of all Jesus Youth for 2 days followed by 5 days of prayer, fellowship, and fun with youth from around the world in Lisbon, Portugal! I’ll then be taking part in a small stretch of the 500 mile hiking pilgrimage, El Camino de Santiago, for 1 week!

For as long as I’ve heard of WYD, I’ve wanted to go and partake in this gathering and pilgrimage of young people. As I finish up my undergraduate education this school year and prepare to apply for Physician’s Assistant programs, I can’t think of a better way to celebrate this gift God has given me these past four years.

I humbly ask for your support, both in money and prayers, as I embark on this pilgrimage! I’ll also be leading a group of 4 other pilgrims from Southern California on this journey, so please keep our group and all those attending and working for WYD in your prayers!

I’ll be praying for you during my pilgrimage, but if you have any specific intentions, please let me know as I would love to pray for them as well!
