My name is Brittany and I have started this GoFundMe for my sister, Teresa Calica.

On May 12th, Teresa will undergo surgery for a hepatectomy, also known as a liver resection, where she will have 60% of her liver removed. Several non-cancerous tumors were found on her liver in February when one of them ruptured, causing a large hematoma on her liver, which led to emergency hospitalization.

During this procedure her gallbladder will also be removed.

Teresa's recovery will be several weeks long after her hospital stay and will require physical therapy.

Funds raised will go towards covering the costs of medical treatment and help with day-to-day expenses while she is unable to work.
