Hello everyone!

My name is Fatumata Camara, and I’m a professional dancer and dance artist based in New York City.

I’m incredibly excited to share that I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to travel to Senegal for the very first time with Kofago Dance Ensemble, on January 4th, 2026.

If you’ve been following my journey, you know how deeply dance lives in my heart—it’s more than a passion, it’s a part of who I am. Words can’t fully express what this moment means to me. I’ve always dreamed of seeing the world through the art of dance, and now that dream is beginning to come true.

This trip is personal.

It’s an opportunity for me to dig deeper into myself—into my “why,” and into my journey as a dancer and creative. It’s a chance to fully immerse myself in the rich culture of Senegal, to explore new perspectives, learn the history behind the movement, to grow not just as a dancer, but also as a person, and to experience it all firsthand.

As meaningful as this trip is to me personally and artistically, it also comes with financial responsibilities. That’s why I’m reaching out to my community—to invite you to be a part of this journey with me.

This trip is an investment in my growth and career. Your support will help cover:
