Tequila's Time to Heal: In Memory of Trenton
Donation protected
On Saturday, July 26th, Trenton Anderson was involved in a devastating car accident that left him with a traumatic brain injury, a broken rib, and a broken jaw. Over the next few days, Trenton bravely fought for his life as his family, friends, and community flooded heaven with prayers for a miracle.
Despite every effort from doctors, nurses, and his loved ones, Trenton’s injuries were ultimately too severe. On Wednesday, July 30th, at 4:31 PM, Trenton met all the criteria for neurological death. His mother said, "My cowboy rode off into the sunset and into the arms of Jesus."
Trenton was more than a son he was a best friend, a bright light, and deeply loved by all who knew him. He was tender-hearted and a true free spirit, always ready with a smile and eager to find joy in the everyday. His loss is unimaginable.
A message from his mother:
Trenton was such a giving soul. He would go out of his way to make someone smile. He was always the first to want to help, it brought him such joy. He was selfless when it came to others. Trenton brought so much light and laughter to every room.
Every day was an adventure for Trenton, and I mean truly, he looked for fun in all things. Some of his favorite adventures included riding anything with wheels, swimming, riding horses, going to rodeos and races, and most of all, spending time with the people he loved. Trenton loved fishing, hunting, and working with his hands.
I can’t put into words what it feels like to think about facing the coming days, and the rest of my life, without him. I had Trenton when I was 19 and was a single mother for most of his life. We grew up together. He was my best friend; my right-hand man.
I could go on for an eternity about my precious son, but this is just a small glimpse of what it was to know and be loved by Trenton.
With a mother’s deepest love and broken heart,
Tequila Boykin ~ Trenton’s Mom
