Supporting a Grieving Family in the Philippines

Dear friends, family, and compassionate hearts,

I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my friend and fellow Filipino. We are reaching out on behalf of Teody, a fellow Filipino who is going through an incredibly difficult time.

On Saturday, April 19, 2025, Teody’s father suffered a major stroke in the Philippines. Despite all medical efforts, he was declared brain dead, and sadly passed away early on April 21, 2025. His sudden passing has left the family devastated and struggling with urgent financial challenges.

Why We Are Raising Funds:

1. Hospital Bills – The family is now facing a bill of over ₱250,000 PHP (approximately $6,000 CAD).

2. Funeral & Burial Costs – They are trying to give their father a proper burial, which comes with additional costs.

3. Emergency Travel for Teody – Teody is in Canada and deeply wishes to fly home to the Philippines to say goodbye to his father and be with his grieving family. However, the cost of last-minute international travel is more than he can afford right now.

Our Goal:

We are hoping to raise $10,000 CAD to help cover hospital fees, funeral arrangements, and Teody’s emergency airfare.
