Tennis Opportunities
Beschermde donatie
The students in my fifth grade class at McPherson Elementary School have written sincere and heartfelt letters explaining why they want to be able to take group lessons outside of school. They have been learning tennis (with donated rackets) during P.E. for the past eight months on a playground, sharing a racket with a partner, chasing balls all over the school playground and happily accepting whatever other obstacles come their way. They have even been teaching the first and second graders in our school how to play. They not only want to play tennis, they are working to become the first kids in their families to go to college.
Many students take rackets home on the weekend and practice in the parking lots of their apartment complexes. They need a way to help them continue their interest in tennis. Most of the families are unable to afford tennis lessons. I would like to have funds for these
eager students to be able to participate in group tennis lessons this summer.
