Hi my name is Keitra, I am Creating a nonprofit for missing children as well as community outreach programs in VA
Community outreach has always been a passion of mine that passion evolved to involve boots on the ground searching on Jan 31, 2022, when a child went missing in our community. This case has shown us the lack of resources available, as well as the lack of search teams who continue to search after the police have stopped. We face many roadblocks during these search efforts not just from police and their lack of communication with us, but also from other organizations that feel because we are not an organization our search efforts are less credible. We are a group of single mothers from all nationalities and backgrounds who have invested countless hours in the search to find not just him but anyone else who has been missing. A lot of people have asked how they can assist us throughout this time and my response has been we are fine sent up prayers or if you want to join in search, you are more than welcome. Up until this point myself and those who searched with me have covered all our expenses which have really added up since we are now into week 10. Now we need you all to help, as I always say we are #singlemomstrong the expense is becoming too much for us to carry on our own (gas, gloves, shovels, bug spray, boots, waterproof pants, clothes that cannot be penetrated by the sticker briar's and that is just a few things). We are also in the process of creating this nonprofit organization, we want you all to know that this is where our heart is and will not be temporary for us, we are invested for the long hall. Our vision will consist of not just searching and bringing awareness to missing children we will also be their voice, we do not plan to start their will also be very engaged in community outreach, we know to heal and help some children you must first start with the parents. The lawyer and fees that must be paid to the IRS and state of Virginia total up to $2500 then there are additional training's that the 2 of us must take, that is where the additional $500 comes in. Some programs we have already enrolled in and paid for out of pocket. Please do not wait until the next person goes missing to decide to Be the change that you want to see in the world and if you cannot physically get out there and make a difference then help support those of us who are. Everyone's role in this process is vital. Believing that when God gives you a mission, he will provide a way for you to make it happen.
