Hi everyone, I am starting this campaign for my Aunt, Tenessa Kelley, to cover expenses necessary to travel to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for diagnosis and treatment of a multitude of health problems. She and my Uncle Stacey will have to fly to and from Minnesota, pay for lodging, transportation, and food. These expenses, added on to the 10’s of thousands of dollars in accrued medical expenses over the past 5 years, are overwhelming. In 2015, Tenessa was given a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis and, unfortunately, has been plagued with additional medical ailments since that time. Over the past 5 years, Tenessa has been hospitalized more than 45 days and has endured 5 surgeries in attempts to treat/ eliminate a host of medical complications. Currently, Tenessa receives IV infusions of copper and potassium 5-12 days per month in attempts to keep her levels within a tolerable range. Due to the frequency of infusions required, Tenessa had to have a port a cath placed in her chest. Tenessa also had a feeding tube placed for a year in an attempt to improve her vitamins, nutrients, and increase her weight. Unfortunately, even on 17 hour per day infusions, the feeding tube offered no resolve for her. Just this week, Tenessa has required a unit of blood and an iron infusion, in addition to her monthly copper/potassium infusions. Unable to return to work because of the medical difficulties, she was placed on permanent disability by her physicians. Therefore, relying upon her husband (Stacey) as the soul provider. Based upon the opinions of her local specialists and the specialists at the University of Michigan, Tenessa has been referred to the Mayo Clinic During her stay at the Mayo Clinic, Stacey will be accompanying her, unfortunately costing them a week worth of his wages.
