Ten year old boy.

Hello, my name is Rebecca Hanson. As a former school employee, I am fundraising for a young boy and his family during a very difficult time.

A local ten-year-old boy attending a north Eugene area school needs your help. Last Sunday, his mother developed a life-threatening condition and is now on life support. His mother’s prognosis is poor. His aunt, who lives in California, is coming to get him soon, but also needs help with the new challenge of raising a young boy.

We are asking for donations to support the boy with things like decorating his new room, buying some new clothes (which has not been a priority for him and his mom because of ongoing medical bills) and even a plane ticket to return to Eugene to see his friends. They will also need help in feeding and caring for the boy’s precious little dog, who is like family to him.

The boy is very special and has been confronted by the worst-case scenario that a child could face. He will be leaving the comfort of his school community and beginning to navigate life in a new home, state, and school. Anything that you can do to help will be appreciated more than you know.
