UPDATE (12/31/2025): Since starting this GoFundMe, my housing situation has changed. While a previous apartment fell through, I was later approved for a new affordable unit. I’ve signed my portion of the lease, and the process is currently still being finalized on the administrative side.

Although this is real progress, I’m now in a short-term in-between period. I lost my job right before my original lease signing, which means I’m navigating this final stretch without stable income while waiting for everything to be completed and the move to fully happen.

Because of this, the purpose of this GoFundMe has shifted slightly. It’s now focused on serving as a temporary safety net — helping me stay stable and cover essential costs like communication access, transportation, groceries, and basic living expenses while I secure new work and complete this housing transition.

My long-term goals haven’t changed: stable housing, rebuilding income, continuing to create music, restarting my phone repair side hustle, and pursuing IT/cybersecurity training as a backup career path. This support simply helps bridge the gap so I don’t lose the progress I’ve already made.

Hi — I’m David. I’m a musician, producer and content creator in NYC. I was recently approved for an affordable apartment, but the day before my lease signing, I lost my job.

When I shared my story on TikTok, people suggested I start this GoFundMe. I’ve never liked asking for help, but I don’t want to lose this apartment or the chance to build long-term stability.
