Aid John Duncan: Urgent MRI Needed

Help John Duncan Get the MRI and Medical Care He Needs
Hello friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
My name is Ashley Duncan, and I’m reaching out with deep humility and hope on behalf of my husband, John Duncan. We are currently facing a difficult chapter in our lives, and we’re asking for your help to get John the urgent medical care he needs.
John recently suffered a severe knee injury while working, and after multiple consultations and preliminary imaging, we’ve received confirmation that he has a torn patellar tendon. The injury is serious and requires surgery—without it, John risks permanent damage and long-term mobility issues. The cost of the surgery alone is expected to exceed $5,000, not including follow-up care, physical therapy, or living expenses during his recovery.
John has always been a proud, hardworking man. As a self-employed landscaper and carpenter in the Gulf Coast area, he’s built his career helping others—transforming homes, building beautiful spaces, and always showing up when his clients and neighbors needed him. But being self-employed means there’s no medical leave, no disability coverage, and no steady paycheck when you can’t work.
Right now, John is completely sidelined. He’s in pain, unable to work, and unable to provide for our family the way he always has. We're doing everything we can, but the medical bills are overwhelming, and without this surgery, his path to healing remains uncertain.
We are asking for your support to help us:
Cover the cost of the MRI (which has now been completed)
Pay for John’s upcoming surgery and related medical expenses
Assist with essential living costs while he is unable to work and recover
Every single donation—no matter the size—will make a meaningful difference. We are also incredibly grateful for anyone who shares this message with others who might be able to help.
To those who have already offered their support, love, and prayers: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness has lifted our spirits and reminded us that we’re not alone. If you have advice, resources, or suggestions that could help us through this process, we welcome those too. We are open to any assistance and support during this trying time.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Ashley Duncan and Family
