Hello, my name is Wendy, and I’m reaching out with a hopeful heart during one of the most challenging periods of my life.
I've been laid off from work and I am looking for a new opportunity, but I’ve also taken on the full-time responsibility of managing my mother’s estate as she has transitioned to a long-term care facility. I’m in charge of preparing her home for sale and sorting through her personal belongings, a deeply emotional and time-intensive process. Between looking for work, going to the house to sort through items, determining the logistics for what's to be sold, and processed, coordinating appointments, and meeting with agents, my days are fully consumed by these efforts.
This isn’t something I have ever done, and while I’m honored to take care of my mother’s affairs, it’s come at a real cost. With limited income during this time, my husband and I may not be able to cover our essential living expenses including rent, groceries, utilities, and bills.
That’s why I’ve created this GoFundMe, to ask for help from those willing and able to stand with us during this transition. I’ve set a modest goal of $2,400 to carry us through the next two months as I am looking for work.
Your donation, no matter the amount, will directly help:
- Keep a roof over our heads
- Put food on our table
- Cover basic bills and household essentials
- Ease the pressure so I can complete my mom’s estate process with dignity and focus
If you’re not in a position to give, you can still make a powerful impact by sharing this with your friends and family.
I'm aware many people are going through hard times right now, which makes your support even more meaningful. Every act of kindness, every dollar, every share, helps lighten the weight we’re carrying.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading this and for showing compassion when it’s needed most.
With gratitude and love,
Wendy
