My name is Michele......
I lost my 19-year-old son a few years ago to suicide. I went into a depression so bad that I still struggle even now. There's times where Istill can't get out of bed or off the couch. That creates a bit of a problem because my husband had a major stroke and is paralyzed on the left side so I have to help him quite a bit. Then, to add to it, I lost my father last year. I try so hard to get better I really do. I go to therapy, I go to to the doctor for meds, I do everything to try and get out of the hole of depression. I also have kidney disease and anemia so fighting infections is always hard for me.
In the beginning of August I started getting sick. I thought it was a cold so I kinda held off on going to the doctor. Plus I didn't have time between working my jobs and driving my 10-year-old daughter to her activities. After a couple weeks I got an extremely high fever and find out it's pneumonia! At the same time this is happening, my mom (she fought stomach cancer and had been cancer free for 18mos) gets sick. One day they're preparing her to go home from the hospital and the next day she goes to hospice! She lived 3 days before passing on August 12th. I couldn't take time for me or fall apart because I still had to take care of my daughter and my husband. I just couldn't work though. I was so so sick with fever and coughing for the longest. This hurt my income alot. Then the incident with the baby drowning happened. My neighbors 2-year-old son ran off and ended up in the retention pond next to my condo. I helped do CPR and stayed on the phone with 911 until the ambulance came. He's still not ok, hes in a coma. But doing CPR on a lifeless baby takes alot out of a person.
Between my mom and losing income from not working it has caused a big problem for me financially.
I normally can afford my rent and bills, it's tight but I manage. I just got behind because of being sick and losing my mom. I also had to put tires on my car 2 weeks ago because they were so worn they were totally unsafe.
I've reached out to so many places and can't get assistance anywhere. Most places tell me that the grants they have are for people with problems due to Covid.
My landlord was working with me but he's just getting impatient now and is ready to evict me. I owe him $1800.
I was very hesitant to ask for help but I just don't know what else to do. I appreciate any help. Even prayers.
