Emergency Repairs for the Temple of Nyame Shrine House

The Temple of Nyame, (Asuo-Gyebi, Tigare, Esi, Yemoja and Afa Shrines of Washington, DC) have been a cornerstone in our community for over 40 years.  Through community programs, rituals, personal consultations, ceremonies and other services we have provided health and healing for the community on all levels.

A serious situation has developed at our shrine and we are seeking financial support from the community to help get the necessary work completed to preserve our shrine house so that the Shrine can continue to support the needs of our community.

There is serious damage stemming from water leakage in the basement which has caused extensive mold infestation.  The foundation has cracks which have allowed water build up.  We need mold remediation, repair of the foundation, rebuilding of floor, sump pumps and a dehumidifier. We have received multiple estimates from contractors and the amount we are trying to raise is a result of the estimates for the work that will need to take place.

It is very important that we have a safe and healthy environment for the family, members, and the community who seek spiritual support each day.  Because of the urgency of this situation, we seek your immediate attention and a contribution.  No amount is too big or too small. Your donation is tax deductible.  We thank you in advance for any effort you make to help resolve this problem.
