Temporarily on FMLA for medical issues. No income.

Hello, my name is John Briggs and I am out of work and on FMLA due to health reasons (first degree heart block, afib, adverse reaction to medications). I cannot drive at this time. I've been out of work for more than 6 weeks. I have applied for short term disability, but have not received any payments to date. The insurance company has yet to advise if my STD has been approved. I call every day and I'm told they are still working on it.

My financial situation is dire. My bank account is nearly exhausted. My bills and rent are behind at least a month, with all coming due again at the beginning of September. There's not much food left in my cupboards. My phone, which I need to keep in touch with my doctor and the STD insurance company, will be disconnected on August 26th. I have tried getting help from local and state agencies to no avail. I will be visiting the local food bank, which will help with my food needs short term. At this point, I have no where else to turn. If I cannot come up with 2 months rent on Sept 1st, I will be evicted.

Any help that I can get financially would be greatly appreciated.  I promise that all funds will go toward my bills and rent to help move me ahead until the insurance company starts sending my STD payments. I'm praying continuously for financial help until I can get back to work, which looks at this point to be sometime mid September.  Thank you so much and God Bless You!
