Hi, my name is Janet Tellez. My siblings and I are trying to raise money to cover my father's funeral expenses. My dad, Martin Tellez, passed away on 8/6/22 after fighting melanoma cancer for 2 1/2 years.

My father immigrated to the US from Mexico in the late 1980s. He came with nothing and worked incredibly hard to build a small tile business. He was humble and always gave freely to help others in need. My father was a man of strong character. He raised five children as a single father, always putting our needs above his own. He did his best to ensure that there was food on the table and a roof over our heads. He was our mentor, safety net, and the person we most looked up to. We owe everything to him.

His battle with melanoma was very hard on my father and our family. My dad continued to work up until the last couple of months. His strong work ethic continued until the very end. His health, unfortunately, took a turn for the worst, and his death came faster than everybody was prepared for.

Our family wants to give him the memorial and burial he deserves. One that honors the man he was. We ask for prayers for Martin and our family during this difficult time. If you can, we humbly ask if you could help our family with the financial costs of his funeral.
