My son’s sweet service dog, Tela, unexpectedly passed away. Tela was rescued by Garet after his open-heart surgery in 2016 and has been by his side for multiple heart surgeries and long recoveries. Tela saved all of our lives during many moments of sadness. She snuggled with me when my son was in the Cardiac ICU and snuggled with him during every moment of recovery. Her snuggles were the best!

Tela had a great life with Garet. Camping, hiking, and skiing. She did it all with him. She had just recovered from a broken leg, and he was looking forward to taking her to all her favorite places in nature when she shockingly passed.

I would love to raise money and help pay off the $2000 he still owes on her leg surgery and raise enough to cover cremation and a memorial item. I have appreciated all the ideas that our friends have shared with how they memorialized their beloved pets. I know many of you have lost your best furry friend also and have mourned with us as it brings back the heartache of your own losses. Grief is hard. I cannot thank those enough who have hugged him and cried with him.
