Teknique is Moving

Hey Teknique Family and Beyond,

We've found the new location to make into our new home base—a place where we can continue to cultivate and encourage our students' growth through hip-hop culture. But we need your help to make this move easier!

Teknique Academy strives to teach our students life lessons and confidence through Hip-Hop culture. Serving as a space of growth and open-ness for one to experiment within one's own style of expression. Our mission is to cultivate, encourage, and elevate ourselves by providing space and guidance that allows for the freedom of self expression through this art form that connects us with the music.

61syx Teknique is the only breaking group in Grand Rapids. We’ve been around for 18 years, and 13 of those years were spent at the Alpine location. Through the years we've performed at many events in Grand Rapids, we've hosted many battles, and taught many students. This move was unexpected(forced); we’re left with no choice but to move.

It's a new year, and we're starting it off under new leadership. We'd like to continue this legacy by asking for your help in moving forward.

Donations are crucial to our ability to move and relocate, but it also helps us cover other expenses that come up unexpectedly.
