I'm Tejas Basavarajappa, an Eagle Scout candidate partnering with Village Food Hub in Andover, MA, to build four wheelchair-accessible raised garden beds on the grounds of Ballard Vale United Church. These beds will increase the fresh vegetables we can grow—tomatoes, peppers, greens, and herbs—and deliver them directly to local families facing food insecurity. Although Scouts and community members are donating all labor, we still need about $2,000 for organic soil, drip-irrigation supplies, mulch, and other materials. Every dollar fills a bed with soil and brings healthy produce one step closer to a neighbor's table.
