Teilo's Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Having recently lost our son Teilo in tragic circumstances, we are searching for a way to honour the memory of someone who, it has now become self-evident, was a cornerstone of several communities. We are asking you to join with us as we attempt to fill the void that he has left in his family and in his wider friendship circle, as well as the various community activities that he was a part of. His energy and enthusiasm for all things lighting (from theatre to Glastonbury festivals) inspired those around him and created many memorable events for a huge number of strangers, that although they had never met him, had seen a part of his soul through these shows. To have created so much so young (he was only 22) is a testament to what was possible in a future we shall unfortunately not see.

Earlier this year he raised considerable funds for Mind (a resource that he himself had at times relied upon) by staging a live music event which he participated in, playing the bass, an instrument that he had only been playing for just over a year. This and other causes that represent a core part of who Teilo was as a person will be addressed via future fundraisers, but for now, this is a memorial fund for Dissenters’ Cemetery in Frome, where Teilo will be laid to rest.

We aim to bring new life to the cemetery by planting ten fruit trees along a nature trail we’ll create, placing a memorial bench within it and bringing new volunteers to the space to help move forward the larger projects. We also wish to honour the volunteers who have been there for many years keeping this valuable piece of Frome’s heritage alive by providing them with continued support through this fund.

For those unable to contribute financially, you can share this message on our behalf. We intend to create a Facebook page in Teilo’s honour where people can follow the progress we make in his name.

We thank you humbly for any support you are able to give, and we would ask that you in turn value those who are still around you.
