Jack and Erin Harnas

Hello everyone!! As most of you know I was admitted to UPMC HAMOT in Erie, Pa for an emergency surgery on my L3 vertebrae last Tuesday April 5, 2022.

I have been in pain since December 4th when I picked up my cat tower and literally ripped my low back apart. I went to Warren General that day for X-ray they saw arthritis but nothing indicative of what I have rolled in to!

As of April 4,2022 I had an MRI in Warren. My doc called 1.5 hours later and said they saw masses throughout and she’d already contacted the neurosurgeon in Erie (Dr. Gilman). They called the next day and told me to check in to Hamot asap!

So here be been for the past week with them running tests of all kinds to confirm I am dealing with multiple myeloma.

I am being positive and in good spirits, the treatment looks long lasting and sustainable so that has me feeling good so far!

I am a bad ass bionic woman now. Fused vertebrae L2-L4 to take the stenosis away so I can walk without the pain again.

I will have a cain, arm brace for my right elbow and it’s masses and lesions (indicative of the multiple myeloma cancer). Any surgery for my arm will be outpatient.

I will be in the hospital for at least a few more days as they are doing a chest biopsy and back bone marrow biopsy tomorrow morning!

I hate asking for money from anyone…please pray for my family and myself. Anything given is a huge help towards the bills that will be rolling in.

Fwd:Because of what Jack and Erin are going through, she has lost her job and jack has had to leave the hospital to go to work. He was staying in a hotel to be near her but had to go home. No one realizes how expensive it is to be away from home, with food, hotel, gas. Anything helps
