Migrants stranded in Saudi Arabia and Yemen

Support for our brothers and sisters stranded in Yemen and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

ሓገዝ ንኣብ የመን ኣብ ስዑድ ዓረብን ዝተገፍዑን ሓጋዚ ዝስኣኑ  ወገናትና!

There are approximately 45,000 men and women currently stranded in Yemen, Saudi Arabia and the borderlands between the two countries. It is estimated that 22,000 are in Yemen with the remainder currently in Saudi Arabia. They traversed through difficult and dangerous terrain to get there.

Due to the ongoing conflict in the Gulf region, many of these people are trapped with little recourse for institutional, nutritional and medicinal support. As a result, many are starving, are severely dehydrated and are dying of illnesses that could be remedied with appropriate medical attention. The situation is particularly difficult for those that have been maimed because they were caught in the cross-fires of the conflict.

Those in detention are suffering from a number of different medical conditions due to poor sanitation and crowding. Women have been reported to be in need of sanitary pads and some have given birth in these conditions as well.

They are requesting their immediate repatriation to Ethiopia, however, due to unknown reasons,  there has been a prolonged delay.  This Gofundme was developed to provide immediate support in the form of food, medical supplies, resettlement when they return home and any other needs that may arise.  This emergency support is needed to save the lives of as many as possible until a more humane sustainable solution is identified and implemented in partnership with international organizations.

All proceeds will be sent to the affected communities by means of their local representatives.

While the following clip is difficult to watch, it provides some insight into the plight of our brothers and sisters.

ሽቓቓት ኣብ ውሽጢ ዝተዓፀውሉ ገዛውቲ ስለዝርከቡን ስለዘይፀርዩን፣ ሕማቕ ሽታ ይፈጥሩሎም፣ ምስቲ ሓያል ሙቐትን ምፅቕቓጥን ተወሳሲኹ፣ ኣብ ጥዕንኦም ዓብዪ ሓደጋ ኮይንዎም ይርከብ።

ብሰንኪ ምስኣን ማይን ቅያር ክዳንን፣ ሰውነቶም ጨንዩ፣ ኣዒንቶም ሓቢጡ፣ ገፆም ፈንዲኡ፣ ኣእዳዎምን ኣእጋሮምን ካብ ጥቕሚ ወፃኢ እንዳኾነ ይርከብ።

ብጥይት ኣካላቶም ዝቖሰሉ ኣለዉ፤ ነቲ ቑስሎም ሕክምና ስለዘይረኸቡ፣ ሓያል ሙቐት ተወሲኹዎ፣ ኣብቲ ክፍልታት ሕማቕ ጨና ይፈጥር።

እቲ ዝቖሰለ ኣካላቶም’ውን ኣብ እዋኑ ሕክምና ክረክብ ብዘይምኽኣሉ፣ ናብ ክሓውይ ዘይኽእለሉል ብርኪ እንዳበፅሐ ይርከብ።

ዓቕሎም ፀቢቡዎም ነቶም ሓለውቲ እንዳእሱር ክደሃይዎምን እውይ ክቡሉ ከለዉን፣ እቶም ሓለውቲ ብተደጋጋሚ ስለዝገርፍዎም፣ ስቓዮም ከቢድ ኮይኑ ይርከብ።

ደቂ ኣንስትዮ፣ ልክዕ ከምቶም ደቂ ተባዕትዮ ሰባት ብምዃነን ይበፅሐን ዘሎ ስቓይ ከምዘሎ ኮይኑ፣ ደቂ ኣንስትዮ ብምዃነን ብተፈጥሮ ዘጋጥመን ሽግር ተወሲኽዎ፣ ድሕንነተን ኣብ ሕማቕ ኩነታት ወዲቑ ይርከብ።

ደቂ ኣንስትዮ፣ ቅያር ፒጃማ ስለዘየብለንን፣ ሞዴስ ሳሙና ንፁህ ማይ ስለዘይረኽባን፣ ኣብ እዋን ወርሓዊ ፅገ ኣዝየን ይሽገራ ኣለዋ።

ብዙሓት ጥኑሳት ኣብ ሽግር ወዲቐን ኣለዋ።

ጥኑሳት ኣብ ውሽጢ ሽቓቕ ኣብያተ ማእሰርቲ ይወልዳ ኣለዋ።

ህፃውንቲ ምስ ኣዴታቶም ኮይኖም ኣብቲ እንዳ እሱር ይሳቐዩ ኣለዉ።

ህፃውንቲ እኹል ምግቢ ካብ ምስኣን ዝተልዓለን በቲ ሕማቕ ኩነታት እንዳእሱርን፣ ንሕማማትን ሞትን ተቓሊዖም ይርከቡ።

ብሰንኪ ከርፋሕ ህይወት ኣብያተ ማእሰርትን ሕፅረት ሕክምናን፣ ብዙሓት ይዓብዱ ኣለዉ፤ ዛጊድ ብዙሓት ሞይቶም ኣለዉ።
