Teeth for tomorrow:Overcoming effects of radiation treatment

Donation protected
Hello everyone,

My name is Chris Damiano, and I want to share my journey with you. For the past few years, I have been battling side effects from throat cancer, during treatment I endured 37 radiation treatments to my head and neck, along with weekly chemotherapy sessions that last six hours. Despite these challenges, I am the proud owner of Damianodetailing, where I strive to maintain an unmatched work ethic that many have come to admire.

Currently, even though I am three years cancer-free, the side effects have intensified. My saliva glands remain dormant, making it necessary for me to chase every bite of food with water or liquid to avoid choking. My weight continues to decline despite consuming an average of 8,000 calories daily, as I burn approximately 12,000 calories due to my demanding work. Friends often comment on my weight loss, which is not the feedback I wish to receive. Additionally, I'm facing daily fatigue, muscle cramps, and persistent discomfort, including a sore throat that feels like a common cold everyday sometimes it gets to strep levels but you would never know.

The primary reason for my fundraising campaign is to address the significant dental damage caused by radiation. My gums and teeth have suffered greatly, with around 90% of my teeth becoming brittle and full of decay , I recently learned from Dr. Ritter at Ritter/Ramsey in Jupiter that the cost to replace my teeth will be approximately $22,800. Each tooth has a substantial amount of decay an in order to move forward each ones gotta be cleaned an decay free and that will rahe 1-2 years with healing time included before they move forward at all, if decay comes back then they go back in an clean it again . I’m trying to nip this in the butt an Unfortunately, while I have insurance, I anticipate difficulties in getting coverage, as the treatments are deemed cosmetic is what they will say but I didn’t ask for radiation treatment it was the card I was dealt

I am reaching out to ask for any support you can provide, no matter how small, to help me with this dental care. My parents help me so much as it is, and each one of you helps out in more ways then one, I’m determined to not let this set back rain on my parade and Your continued encouragement, whether through calls or texts, means the world to me. I am determined to keep moving forward and maintain the work ethic you all know I possess, regardless of my circumstances. One last thing #FUKCANCER

Thank you for your support, and God bless.
