As many of you know on June 30th our family experienced a major tragedy. T'arra Barajas injured herself. T'arra is my niece, a daughter, a sister, a cousin, and a friend to many. As Monica (her mother) is trying to get through this traumatic time there has been an outpouring cry from the community asking what they can do to help! Monica and her husband Chris also have 6 other children that depend on them. If you have ever experienced tragedy then you know the last thing you want to have to do is worry about the simple things like meals, gas, toiletries, bills and all those things that bog down our day to day. This is the most streamlined way to get help to the family! Know that anything you have done so far is greatly appreciated.
T'arra (aka Tee) was born March 30st, 1997. She was born with the most beautiful eyes any of us had ever seen. Once, she went to the opthamalogist and the doctor was unable to identify the color of her eyes because they were so unique! That always sticks out in my mind. That uniqueness has followed Tee through the years. We always knew she would be different. She was always super silly. Monica would always do her hair with precision, perfect parts, braids and knockers. Tee didnt mind the hair but you can forget about the princess clothes to go with it. Her favorite thing to wear were tennis shoes, basketball shorts and some form of t-shirt. She maintained this perfect combination of a beautiful contradiction throughout her life. T'arra has always been feisty and strong willed on the outside, but everything isnt always as it appears. Family losses and let downs started early on for Tee and you could see the toll it was taking on her. Through it all Monica has always been a strong single parent who overcame obstacles and circumstances that would have broken the average person. Tee's mom is a fighter, so it only makes sense that Tee be a fighter!
We are not in the clear yet, but deep down we believe that T'arra WILL make it through this! SPEAK THAT INTO EXISTANCE! NOTHING ELSE!
