EMPOWER is a teen-led advisory group focused on addressing issues impacting their peers, such as mental health promotion, suicide prevention, and Narcan accessibility. The group operates within the Eastern Jackson County Prevention Coalition, using a youth-led, adult-guided model. EMPOWER exists because teens are directly affected by mental health challenges and substance use trends, and their voices are essential for creating real change in the community. Our goal is to raise money in order for suicide prevention programs, bringing awareness to schools and more.
