Ted Kastelic Stroke Recovery Fund
Donation protected
After a devastating stroke in October 2014 Ted is in the biggest fight of his life.
We all know and love Ted Kastelic in different ways. Husband, Father, Musician, Friend, Man with a big heart, someone who brings positive energy and love into every room he enters. Growing up with music and friends in Pueblo Colorado, and now with his wife Elizabeth in San Jose/Los Gatos, CA, he has always contributed to everyone around him. Now he needs YOUR help.
The Stroke was so severe he did not wake up for a month! He has made great strides, but has to learn EVERYTHING all over again. To walk, to talk, to eat, to play music, EVERYTHING. His left arm and hand are active and strong enough to give you a hug. Even though communicating is a challenge, his mind is with us. Ted smiles, he recognizes you as you enter the room, he understands you, and looks at you with loving and thankful eyes. He is in speech therapy to learn to talk again. He has learned to pick up the harmonical and engaged in music again to help him heal, though he has a lot of work to do to bring his music back.
Ted and his wife Elizabeth face HUGE costs to keep up physical therapy and health services. Ted's wife Elizabeth had to take off work for months. The impact has been huge of the 2 month long stay in the Intensive Care Unit and all the following rehab work.
Since the health insurance ran out covering the rehab facility costs, Ted has now been moved back home. Maintaining daily progress is happening! Every day he gets an inch stronger, learns something new. But this is expensive to maintain.
The key to his progress is the Support Services, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, ALL very expensive. And this will take years of work! No one can do this alone. PLEASE HELP! Donate anything you can. Every dollar makes a difference! Also if you are guided, please post to your facebook, or send along to others.
When you wake up tomorrow and brush your teeth, remember Ted has dificulty with this simple task. He will improve if you help by donating. Instead of your next 'date night', eat in, raise a glass of wine and send positive energy to Ted's recovery, and donate the $100 you would have spent on dinner. He needs us now. Join me and Press the DONATE button now.
Love to Ted and all who help,
