Nicole Tedford is a single mother who is currently at New Hanover Regional Medical Center due to brain bleeds, seizures, and a currently undiagnosed condition. She and her daughter, Rylee, live with her parents, Joel and Vickie Tedford. Joel is undergoing treatments for Stage 3 lung cancer. Vickie, Nicole, and sister Ashley are missing work and doing everything they can to deal with 2 separate medical conditions going on within the family.
