Teddy’s Trundle 2026 – 5 Years Strong!
2026 marks 5 years of Teddy’s Trundle – and this year is more meaningful than ever, as the walk takes place on Down Syndrome Awareness Day (March 21st). What began as a small family-led walk has grown into an incredible community movement that brings people together across the Isle of Man and beyond.
Over the past four years, thanks to your love and support, we’ve raised an amazing £27,365 for an incredible charity that supports families with children who have Down Syndrome. Last year alone, we raised over £13,500, a huge thanks to every person and company that donated and got involved.
Why We Walk
When Teddy was diagnosed with Down syndrome at just 8 weeks old, we were met with negativity, outdated information, and little emotional support. That experience is sadly still too common – and it’s exactly why we walk. We walk to celebrate Teddy and every person with Down syndrome. We walk to raise awareness, challenge outdated views, and offer hope to new families who deserve to feel empowered, not afraid.
New for 2026:
Teddy’s 21 Challenge
On World Down Syndrome Day (21 March), Teddy’s Trundle goes global.
Take part by choosing your 21:
21,000 steps
2,100 steps
21 acts of movement
21 acts of kindness
Wear odd socks, share where you’re taking part from, and donate via GoFundMe if you can.
Every step counts. Every step connects us. Every step brings us closer to change. (keep an eye out for further updates on this!!)
Where the Money Goes
The money raised will go to Positive About Down Syndrome (PADS) – a UK charity that provides honest, empowering information and support for families receiving a Down syndrome diagnosis. PADS was there for us when we needed it most, and we’re proud to continue supporting their vital work. A proportion of money raised will also stay on the Isle of Man and go to Down Syndrome Association Isle of Man.
Let the Countdown Begin
The big walk – 21km from Peel to Douglas – takes place on March 21st, 2026. Whether you walk with us on the Isle of Man or take on Teddy's 21 Challenge let’s make our fifth year the biggest yet.
Let’s keep showing up.
Let’s keep walking forward – together.
Thank you for your continued love and support
