Teddy’s Story

On Friday the 9th of April we sadly were witnesses to a horrific incident outside our veterinary practice in Pinner. Teddy had been playing in the park opposite with his brother and his family, when he suddenly got spooked and ran into the road, right in front of our eyes. Unfortunately the events unfolded so quickly that the oncoming traffic was unable to stop in time, and Teddy was struck by an ambulance. Thankfully we were able to get to Teddy within a minute of the incident. We treated him for shock, stabilised him and assessed his injuries. Due to the force of the impact Teddy has sustained a severe pelvic fracture and requires intensive hospitalisation and surgery to save his life. Teddy’s family have agreed to do absolutely everything they can to save their special boy. Unfortunately Teddy does not have pet insurance to cover the cost of his treatment and we estimate that the cost of all of his treatment will potentially exceed £7,000.
Since the accident occurred we have completely fallen in love with Teddy and are all astounded by his bravery!! ❤️❤️He is staying so strong and is prepared for the fight ahead. It is our goal to do everything possible to save Teddy’s life and support his wonderful family following this freak accident.
