Thank you for joining us along on Teddy’s journey. We are so blessed to have so many people being willing to support us in many different ways!

Our precious Teddy was born on Friday, June 27th, 2025 via cesarean section; he was 3lbs 13oz and 16.5” long. Due to his tiny little body, he was in the NICU after birth to regulate his body temperature and get extra help with eating/putting on weight. The following day we received the news that Teddy had been blessed with an extra chromosome, meaning he has Down Syndrome. We are all absolutely in love with him and are trusting God with what that means for his life and family. Along with that news, we were also told that he had low blood platelets and bleeding in his eye, which led to the recommendation of taking him to CHOP. Once at CHOP, the eye specialist was able to determine that both of his eyes had some degree of a detached retina. However, due to swelling and some blood vessels in the way, the doctor has not been able to determine what next steps look like just yet. The waiting continues as we await to hear from the eye specialist this coming Tuesday, July 8th.

In the midst of the waiting this week, Teddy has been making progress in other areas like nursing, blood platelets going up, gaining weight, and meeting his older siblings! We are so in love with Teddy and we are continuing to trust and rely on God’s peace and the beautiful family he has blessed us with for support.

We have been told Teddy may need to be at CHOP for a month. We would be greatly encouraged by your financial support to go towards bills and accommodations for Kelly & Alex, as they are seeking to staying nearby CHOP to remain close to Teddy. Funds will also be used to care for Addie, Cooper, June & Nora as they await the return of their Mama, Papa & new baby brother Teddy. We greatly appreciate any support that you are willing to give to support the Hershey family financially. Prayers are also always welcome and we appreciate your intercessions for our family.
